Join us for GOLDFISH at Kirstenbosch Gardens

GOLDFISH at Kirstenbosch Gardens

We are very excited to see Goldfish at the Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts on Sunday the 19th of February. With grace the sun will be shining on the day for us to really get into the authentic outdoor feel of South African music in Cape Town’s most exquisite setting. THE PLATINUM BOUTIQUE HOTEL will be taking guests and friends for an afternoon of good wine and delicious snacks to one of the finest events in South African music and entertainment.

Goldfish are a regular sell out at Kirstenbosch Gardens and are a band that will get even the laziest Sunday afternoon crowds up on its feet with their jazzy and innovative musical genius, that will only compel you to get involved with the dancing. So be sure to have your dancing shoes on and to grab a spot nice and early.

Creatively mixing live instruments such as double bass, saxophones, keyboards, flute, and vocals with samplers, effects, and synths, Goldfish’s numerous Number One hits have resonated with crowds across the world. The award-winning Capetonian band has been hailed for re-inventing the DJ which has seen them win a Best Live Act in South Africa title and made them a success on the international music scene.

The multi-talented musicians David Poole and Dom Peters, together with the stunning vocals of Monique Hellenberg, Sakhile Moleshe and Emily Bruce create an energetic and unforgettable showpiece, and if you’re really lucky, you’ll get to see the slightly horrifying man-sized goldfish mascot with a reputation for having excellent dance moves. It’s a little bizarre, but good fun none-the-less, which the Kirstenbosch audience typically enjoys.
